Quickies

J is so excited about his blog he is building like crazy to have a picture to post. We are trying to encourage him to build more *spectacular* vs. quantity. I attempted to set up an audio podcast with this blog, but my microphone is not workint at the moment.

Anti-Air Base

This is J working on an Anti-Air Missile base.

The Workbench

This is the coolest lego workbench ever. We got a great deal on it from Northern Tool. It is all steel and extremly sturdy and well built. The drawers lock. We wanted to buy extra for mom and dad to use but they were sold out when we went back.

The Massive Collection 66qt

This a a picture of the big 66 quart (16.5 gallons) under-bed storage box that houses the majority of the lego collection. Some of the legos are as old as 1968. The collection has been added to over the years, and most recently since 2005 when my son turned 4.

The First Post

This is R2-D2 flying a ship made from pieces from a recently disassembled Naboo N-1 starfighter with vulture droid kit. Unlike some other parents we know who after completing a set won't let the kids play with it and keep it only for display, we allow our son to tear it up and mix the pieces into his huge collection so he can use his great imagination to create new things.
